CVC yarn, short for “Chief Value Cotton,” is a blended textile material primarily composed of cotton and polyester, typically in ratios such as Typical: 60% cotton / 40% polyester or Typical: 55% cotton / 45% polyester. Unlike traditional TC (Terylene Cotton) yarn, which usually has a higher polyester content (e.g., Typical: 65% polyester / 35% cotton), CVC yarn prioritizes cotton as the dominant fibre. This cotton-rich composition enhances breathability and softness while retaining the strength and durability provided by polyester.
The key advantage of CVC over TC yarn lies in its improved comfort and wearability.
